Undergraduate training completed in 2000 at the UWI (Mona) obtaining the MBBS Degree with Honours in Pharmacology and Physiology. Subsequently completed postgraduate training in Clinical Haematology at said university in 2006 attaining the DM in Clinical Haematology. This postgraduate programme provides specialist training in the management of patients with Benign and Malignant Blood Disorders (e.g.. anaemias and other abnormal blood counts, bleeding disorders, Myeloproliferative Disorders, Leukaemias and Lymphomas) as well as solid tumors (e.g.. Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer, Lung Cancer ). Transfusion Medicine is also included in this specialist training programme. Additional training in Transfusion Medicine was also obtained at the St. George’s Hospital , London, UK.
